“However, we have managed to implement our maintenance at all of our public housing projects, council projects and also eligible private projects.

We have completed 32,582 projects amounting to RM 297.57 million. Our request to the Federal Government to assist, our request of RM134.76 million has yet to be addressed.

“To-date, we have only received RM8.481 million. Housing must never be politicised and we hope the Federal Government will also assist.

“We will continue with our priority to ensure there is adequate affordable housing for all ranging not only from RM 42,000.00 to RM 300,000.00 but also rent-to-own. To-date we have arrived at 136,333 units from our target of 220,000 units from our vision Penang 2030,” added Jagdeep.
