Central Asain country, the Republic of Kazakhstan hopes to foster better relationship with Penang,
This is following the official visit by its ambassador to Malaysia, Bulat Sugurbayev on the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Chow Kon Yeow.
Also present at the meeting was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Yeoh Soon Hin.
His Excellency, Sugurbayev highlighted the areas of information technology, agriculture and tourism to this respect.
He noted that Penang is one of the vital hubs in the world with several big names in the industry located here.
“We hope to foster collaboration in these areas while also focusing on food products for halal and non-halal which are also important here.
“We are one of the producers of wheat and we look forward to working with local companies for pasta and bread making.
“Another area to foster relationships is tourism. We can explore ways to enhance tourist between the two states,
