More than 800 guests gathered at The Top Ballroom at a remembrance ceremony of the late Datuk Seri Utama Karpal Singh.
Leading the guest list was Prime Minister Datuk Seri Utama Anwar Ibrahim, Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Penang Deputy CM II Jagdeep Singh Deo, Ramkarpal Singh, Gobind Singh Deo and their families and relatives.
Also present was Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang, former Penang CM, Lim Guan Eng and a host of other dignitaries.
The gathering was dubbed “Reminiscing Karpal”, the Jelutong Tiger to pay tribute to the late Karpal for his contributions and sacrifices to the party and country.
The event marked the 10th anniversary of his departure.
“My father may be gone, but his sacrifices and contributions to the country will always be remembered. I will continue this legacy as Deputy Chief Minister of II of Penang”, said Jagdeep in his address.
Guests came from far and near to attend the gathering.
