In line with its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitment and this year’s International Day, the Rasa Sayang Resort (RSR) invited a group of interns to visit their bottling plant.
The programme is to empower new generation of trainees to become strong future leaders in hospitality.
“We are proud to celebrate the next generation of hoteliers at RSR and GSH this #InternationalYouthDay, joining the global movement to empower young leaders in hospitality.
In line with this year’s theme, “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” we’re spotlighting the talented youth shaping a more sustainable future for our industry.
Through dedicated training and mentorship programmes, we support young professionals as they develop their skills and leadership potential.
Recently, 20 hospitality interns from Indonesia completed a three-day training programme, with a key highlight focused on hotel sustainability and environmental responsibility.
“During their visit to the Bottling Plant at RSR, the interns gained hands-on experience in producing our own drinking water in glass bottles for all guestrooms, replacing single-use plastic bottles.
“Thanks to this initiative, our two resorts have saved more than one million 500ml plastic bottles from ending up in landfills each year. By investing in youth and fostering sustainable practices, we are building a brighter, greener future for hospitality and our communities,” read the press statement.
