Patrons of the popular “Astaka” in Tanjung Bungah which was burned down in 2020, can now look forward to the new-look Astaka.
The food court was not only popular with locals but also tourists and hotel guests in the vicinity.
State Exco for Infrastructure and Transport, Zairil Khir Johari announced that some 40 stalls with environmental features will be put up by 2022.
“We will spend RM3.49 million to build the new food court with many green features like rain harvesting facilities and new design to allow more natural light and ventilation.
“The design will be similar to those food courtsĀ in Singapore with covered seats for everyone,” said Zairil adding that there will also be facilities for the handicapped in a press conference.
