Members of the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Setia Ikhlas Pulau Pinang (PKSIPP) carried out a corporate social responsibility programme to sponsor a sumptuous lunch for the needy community in conjunction with Chinese New Year.
The gathering was held at the Sunway Hotel Georgetown
Lending support was Penang Deputy Chief Minister II YB Jagdeep Singh Deo and his family.
In his short address, Jagdeep promised that the Penang State Government will always reach out to all irrespective of race or religion to bring everyone together.
“I also commend Dato Aloysius Gasper and his committee members for doing a good job for the community.
“With that said, I thank you and also wish to donate RM20,000 towards the fine job being done,” added Jagdeep.
Meanwhile, Gasper said that they reach out to the needy community during all festive occasions like Deepavali, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and also Vasakhi too.
The hearty lunch was sponsored by PTN Hospitality Solutions Sdn Bhd led by entrepreneur, Jude Nagalingam.
Among the beneficiaries at the luncheon were the residents of the Crystal Home, Child Protection Home, Persatuan Penyayang Warga Tua Pulau Pinang, Lilian Jalleh and family along with Catherine and Family.
Jagdeep and Aloysious also went around the various tables to distribute Ang Pow packets and Mandarin oranges.
Earlier in the day, members of the PKSIPP also visited Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Anak OKU Taman Island Penang to bring food rations to the home.
