Some 100 participants from Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Dubai, Germany, the Philippines, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, Turkey were treated to a fine dinner at the Amari SPICE Penang.
They were gathering for the 5th edition of the Penang International Travel Exchange (PITE) after the pandemic hiatus.
The event was organised by Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB).
Present was PCEB chief executive officer Aswin Gunasekeran and his team to make sure that the guests were well taken care of.
On the menu were local and international dishes with entertainment provided by a two-piece band.
Also seen was Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) national vice president, Dato Khoo Boo Lim, Penang director for the Ministry of Tourism ,Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Jonathan Freddy Bagang along with Amari SPICE Penang general manager Noorazzudin Omar, Executive Assistant Manager Zuliani Hamid, Director of Sales and Marketing, Doris Hor and their team.
The two-day event was a meaningful session as it boosted the MICE events for the state. The gathering allowed the guests to let their hair down and unwind after a hard day’s work.
Also present were several general managers from the various hotels in Penang.
The business-to-business (B2B) sessions and networking events will also include familiarisation trips to provide buyers a better understanding of Penang’s breathtaking attractions.
Earlier in the day, the State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Yeoh Soon Hin had launched the session.
