The second round of Penang International Food Festival (PIFF) 2024 will be held at the Design Village Outlet Mall in Batu Kawan.

The much awaited galore of local hawker fare will be held this weekend, Nov 9 and 10, 2024.

A press conference was held to announce details of the food fare by the State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai.

Joining him was Andy Song, the Chief Operating Officer of PE Land Penang Sdn Bhd and Penang Global Tourism chief executive officer Ooi Chok Yan and team.

Last weekend, the event held along Armenian Street in George Town was a remarkable success, drawing thousands of food enthusiasts who gathered to savor the rich culinary diversity of Penang.

“As the saying goes, good things come in pairs. This weekend, we will be bringing these delectable, aromatic delights across to Seberang Perai, where Penang’s culinary treasures will once again shine at Batu Kawan.

“Delicious cuisine is one of Penang’s most vibrant identities. Known as a “Food Paradise,” Penang’s food culture is rich, diverse, and deeply rooted in history.

“Every dish here holds stories of tradition and community, giving diners a unique blend of cultural experiences as they savor the harmonious blend of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavors”, said Wong.

In closing, Wong invited everyone to bring their families and friends to indulge in this feast of flavors where over 100 food stalls, from cafes to restaurants and street vendors will be available.

There will be live band performances and captivating fire shows too.
