Experience the first Starbucks Reserve outlet in Penang located at the Gurney Plaza.
Launched on Jan 9 the new outlet other than serving their normal coffee range, will also serve rare and premium coffee from Asia Pacific, Africa and Latin American region.
Each coffee is handpicked by a team of Starbucks coffee quality experts, offering both unique taste profiles and stories from the regions where they were grown.
On hand to meet and greet customers and the media was Sydney Quays, the Group Chief Executive officer of Berjaya Food Berhad and managing director of Starbucks Malaysia and Brunei.
“We also have merchandise and collectors items which are hot favourites among enthusiasts.
“The set-up here offers the Reserve Bar where our elite baristas will serve and also chit chat with guests. The bar and lounge will serve some 30 premium brands of coffee.
“This is our 12th Reserve Store in Malaysia with the other in Johore Baru and Kuala Lumpur,” added Quays.
On a another note, Quays said that they welcome competition among coffee outlets as it would further make them strive for excellency.
“We also take pride that our signing outlet in Pulau Tikus is also a tourist attraction where guests from Thailand and Japan who are hard of hearing come to experience the coffee there,” added Quays.
Starbucks Malaysia has some 300 stores around the country.
