THE Penang state government is calling for applications for the pre-qualification process for the Bayan Lepas Light Rail Transit’s (LRT) Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
Present at a press conference to make the announcement was Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow along with Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Prof P. Ramasamy, State Exco for Transport and Infrastructure, YB Zairil Khir Johari, Penang Infrastructure Corporation (PIC) chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Farizan Darus and SRS Consortium project director Szeto Wai Loong.
“Shortlisted corporations following the pre-qualification process will be invited to participate in the RFP for the Bayan Lepas LRT scheme which would be called later.
“The process starts from July 25 to Aug 24 and companies can request access from Penang Infrastructure Corporation (PIC) to download the pre-qualification process documents.
“The closing date for the submission of documents for the pre-qualification process is at noon, Aug 24, 2022.
“The Penang state government is committed to making the Bayan Lepas LRT project as it is an important component of the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP),” saud Chow.
