The highly popular Penang International Food Festival (PIFF) 2024 is coming back in November this year.
The festival will be held over two weekends – November 2 & 3, 2024 along Beach Street in George Town (renamed as PIFF @ Tanjong) and the second leg on November 9 & 10th at Design Village in Batu Kawan.
Present to announce the event at a press conference in Komtar was Tanjong Member of Parliament and Deputy Finance Minister YB Lim Hui Ying along with State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai.
Others present were Komtar assemblyman, YB Teh Lai Heng, Pengkalan Kota assemblyman, YB Wong Yuee Harng, Penang Global Tourism chief executive officer, Ooi Chok Yan and the chief operating officer of PE Land (Design Village) Andy Song among others.
The event is supported by event organisers – Dreamz and TLM respectively.
The organisers are now calling for local hawker stalls and food vendors who are interested to participate in PIFF 2024 to register.
For the Beach Street weekend fare, they will limit the numbers of booths and stalls to 100 units only.
On offer will surely be Penang favourites like the highly popular Penang Char Koay, Teow Laksa, Nasi Kandar, Rojak and lots more.
Local and foreign food lovers are expected to throng Penang during the PIFF 2024 sessions.
PIFF 2024 is now calling for entries from hawkers and food vendors who are interested in showcasing their culinary skills to a large and diverse audience

For the record, the Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand along with some private organisers there are also organising their own version of Penang food fare which is highly popular in the Thai capital.
