The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) currently underway in Johor Bahru is well participated by several Penang based hotels, resorts and tourism agencies.
The theme for the event is “Unity in Motion: Shaping ASEAN’s Tourism Tomorrow.
Among the participants are the Penang Global Tourism (PGT), Lone Pine Penang, A Tribute Portfolio Resort, G Hotel, Lexis Hotels & Suites, The Top and Travel 88. They held B2B sessions to promote the Pearl of the Orient and its attractions.
The gathering is from Jan 15 to Jan 20, 2025 being held at the Johor Convention Centre. Some 1,000 delegates are attending the forum.
Among them are 329 buyers from 41 countries and 221 sellers from the ASEAN region.
Although the participants are mainly from the Asean region, other industry players from Europe and Middle East are also taking part in the forum.
Lending support is Tourism Minister Dato Seri Tiong King Sing and his team.
Other than promoting regional tourism products, the forum also promotes networking and information sharing among industry players.
With Visit Malaysia Year 2026 on the horizon, ATF is an ideal platform to promote Malaysia.
