In conjunction with the 75th birthday celebrations of Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, a total of 1.346 individuals will receive their awards.
Leading the honours list is DAP stalwart Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang who was bestowed the Darjah Utama Pangkuan Negeri (DUPN) which carries the title “Datuk Seri Utama”.
This was followed by the Penang State Assembly Speaker, Dato Law Choo Kiang who is presented with the Darjah Gemilang Pangkuan Negeri (DGPN) which carries the title “Datuk Seri “. Penang Deputy Chief Minister 1 Mohamed Abdul Hamid received the Darjah Mulia Pangkuan Negeri (DMPN) which carries the “Datuk”.

Local businessman Dato N. Ramanathan, owner of Woodlands and Tiffins restaurants is also bestowed the Datuk Seri title while M. Suresh chief executive officer of Jaya Catering and dentist Dr A. Lawrence are also bestowed the Datukship titles.

The Penang Port Commission general manager Dr. V. Vijayaindiaran is also a Datuk now.
Ms Carolyn Leong awarded the DJN
In recognition of their contributions to the tourism industry, Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Penang Chapter chairman Ms Carolyn Leong is awarded the DJN award. She is also the chief executive officer of Angel Tours here.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Association of Hotels Penang chapter vice chairman and Lexis Suites Penang general manager, Ben Ho is awarded the PKT award.
He has more than 26 years of hospitality expertise across Malaysia and Thailand and holds the Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK, as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), US.
Another tourism and MICE sector player who received the PKT was Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) chief executive officer, Ashwin Gunasekeran.
