Known for their authentic Malay cuisine, cili kampung held its official opening at the Light Hotel Penang.

The event was graced by Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Seri Utama Khadijah Mohd Nor and a host of VIP guests.

He signed a plaque and also performed the ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening.

Also present was Tan Sri Dato Ramesh, Managing Director of The Light Hotel (M) Sdn Bhd, Dato KK Sihabutheen Kirudu Mohamed (Executive director Light Hotel (M) Sdn Bhd), Naresh Tan Sri Dato’ Ramesh (Director The Light Hotel (M) Sdn Bhd), Sharath Tan Sri Dato’ Ramesh (Director The Light Hotel (M) Sdn Bhd) and Raj Kumar, general manager of the Light Hotel Penang along with a host of other dignitaries.

The opening marks a milestone for Cili Kampung brand as it is the fourth outlet after Langkawi, Hartamas Shopping Centre and Suria KLCC, offering an unparalleled dining experience to both locals and tourists.

Guests had a chance to savour a variety of popular Malay dishes in the likes of Masak Lomak Hornshell, Masak Kicap Chicken, Sambal Cili Api Squid and many more local Malay delights.

From flavourful mains to irresistible desserts and fiery sambals; each recipe is carefully curated and prepared by skilled chefs, ensuring a delightful dining experience.

Their interior decor also reflects a traditional Malay “kampung” style decor, with tropical greenery, ratan decorations and spacious seating, creating an inviting atmosphere that complements the flavourful journey that Cili Kampung offers.
