Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak graced the official dinner of the 45th International Advertising Association (IAA) World Congress 2024.
The convergence of more then 1,000 delegates from all over the world reflects the significance of the meet.
This is the first time a South East Asian country is hosting the world class event and Penang is honoured to play hosts.
Earlier in the day, Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow had declared the congress open.
Also present at the dinner was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai, general manager of Chief Minister Incorporated, Datin S Barathi, IAA World Congress president Sasan Saedi, John D Chacko, organising chairman and president of IAA Malaysia, Ashwin Gunasekeran Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) chief executive officer among others.
Guests were hosted a fine dinner spread along with traditional entertainment programmes.
The three-day gathering sees the attendance of “big names” in the industry such as the United Nations, Google, Meta, Cannes Lions, Petal Ads, universities, governments, and global agency heads are among the speakers.
The congress also features insightful sessions, panel discussions, and workshops with a distinguished lineup of over 30 C-suite speakers.
