Penang Chief Minister, Chow Kon Yeow emerged tops at the Penang DAP Convention 2021 held at the Spice Arena in Bayan Lepas earlier today.

He garnered a total of 1,211 votes to be elected as the chairman again.

Coming in with the second with the largest number of votes was Phee Boon Poh who is also the State Exco for Welfare and Environment with 1,041 votes followed by Lay Hock Peng with 1,038 votes.

Penang Deputy Chief Minister 11, P. Ramasamy got 826 votes while Zairil Khir Johari who is the State Exco for Infrastructure and Transport got 920 votes.

Yeoh Soon Hin who is the State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy got 773 votes.

Jagdeep Singh Deo who is the State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning, received 655 votes.

A total of 44 candidates from 300 branches contested in the election.
