The Pelangi Resort Langkawi general manager, Neoh Kean Boon welcomed back the victorious MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter football team members who won at the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Football Tournament 2023
The tournament was held at the Shah Alam National Sports Complex Panasonic recently. The thrilling final saw MAH Kedah/Perlis team overcoming their opponents, MAH Negeri Sembilan Chapter by a narrow 1-0 margin.
The winning team comprised five staff members of the Pelangi Resort Langkawi. .
Among them were.Mohammad Azril Abdul Karim, Mohd Zulhaizam Mohd Zakhi, Mohd Rosli Abd Hamid, Muhammad Nazrul Afi Yusmadi and Ahmad Zikri Zaki.
Meanwhile, the tournament’s top scorer was Mohd Zulhaizan who also scored the winning goal. The captain of the MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter team Mohd Rosli.
“We are happy that our staff members played a key role in winning the championship. Their contribution and hard work has resulted in this victory, ” said Neoh.
Upon their arrival back at the Langkawi Jetty, they were received by MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter vice chairman Effendi Ramley who is the general manager of Dash Resort Langkawi along with Adrian Chuah (Special project Committee and general manager of Aloft Langkawi Pantai Tengah).
Chairman of the MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter, Eugene Dass added that they are very proud of the team as this is the first time making it to the finals.
“This shows that hoteliers are not only good at their work but also well-rounded and talented in sporting activities,” he added.
