A team from the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia at the Embassy of Malaysia in Phnom Penh recently (June 17).
The PCEB team was led by its Chief Executive Officer Ashwin Gunasekeran accompanied by Head of Sales & Marketing, Ms Siti Sarah Ismail and Terry Neoh, Marketing & Communications Manager.
Ashwin also signed the embassy’s visitors book to mark their visit.
The delegation had the opportunity to brief H.E. Shaharuddin on the significance of the new air link and its potential to enhance bilateral relations between Malaysia and Cambodia — particularly in the areas of business events, tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.
Further discussions also explored avenues of collaboration with the Embassy to support the promotion of the new route and strengthen diplomatic visibility for the initiative.
Cambodia Airways will connect Phnom Penh and Penang with effect June 26, 2025.
