A Bukit Mertajam based NGO called ONE HOPE CHARITY has launched a food basket programme for tertiary level students from the B40 group.
Some 1,000 food baskets will be sent out to these students by courier throughout Malaysia.
According to the ONE HOPE CHARITY chairman, Dato Chua Sui Hau, each food basket will contain dry foodstuff, face masks and sanitisers.
“Each of the food baskets is worth RM250. We are spending RM250,000 for the whole project.
