The annual Electronics Manufacturing Expo Asia (EMAX) 2025 was officially launched at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre earlier today.
More than 200 exhibitors from 40 countries namely China, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand are participating in the event till July 25, 2025..
EMAX 2025 is the only Electronics Manufacturing and Assembly technology and equipment event that brings together an international congregation of chip manufacturers, semiconductor manufacturers and equipment suppliers to gather in Penang.
Leading the ceremony was Kenny Yong Founder & CEO NRG Exhibitions Group, Philip Vincent Advisor EMAX & PMAX, Yin Gang Deputy Director General of Asian Affairs, Ministry of Commerce People’s Republic of China, HE Machida Shinya, Consul General of Japan in Penang among others.
Also present was YB Goh Choon Aik, State assemblyman for Bukit Tambun,

“Penang is South East Asia’s leading semiconductor hub. This year the event is 20 percent bigger than 2024,” said Yong in his address.
Meanwhile, Vincent expressed his delight in witnessing EMAX experiencing remarkable growth over the years.
“We have seen the participating countries grow from 20 countries to 40 countries to date. This year we are excited to unveil SMAX – Semiconductor Asia Expo and ASFAX – Asia Sustainable Factories Expo. These two new shows reflect where the industry is heading towards deepe semiconductor integration,” he said.
He also shared that Penang is attracting billions of foreign investment due to its strength in infrastructure, local talents and friendly investment climate.
VIP guests joined hands to perform the launch ceremony and later toured the various booths which displayed their various products and innovations.
