The Mercure Penang Beach joins the list of hotels here to offer their version of the Ramadan spread available till May 9, 2021.
Rather than the normal buffet spread, they hope to bring back the nostalgia of the traditional Malay custom of serving “Makan Berdulang” meals.
Dubbed the “Ombak Ramadan Dulang Set”, the promotion is priced at RM88 nett the serving for two person.
For starters, they have the traditional ulam-ulaman (salads) with sambal, followed by the main dish consisting of chicken varuval, beef or chicken satay, ayam masak jintan, okra in fish curry, petai prawn sambal, stir fried assorted vegetables accompanied with nasi biryani.
Also available are a selection of desserts to fulfil your sweet indulgence – buah kurma, choice of teh or Nescafe tarik, sirap bandung or soya bean and lastly, assorted cakes.
By introducing the “Makan Berdulang” set, the Mercure Penang Beach hopes to promote the journey of “Discover Local”. Inspired by local ingredients to immersion into traditional artisan creations and heritage attractions.
