Introducing Derrick Yee, the new operations manager at S. H Maju Sdn Bhd in Langkawi.
He comes with many years of experience in the food and beverage industry, thus qualifying him as an F&B professional and wine sommelier.
His most recent posting was at the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi as its Director of Beverage Operations.
His new duties at S.H Maju will include all sales-related operations within the fine wine and spirits department.
He will also oversee procuring new wine and spirit labels with tact and plan on sales strategy.
Customer relations is also his top priority with focus on markets, including all upscale hotels in Langkawi and fine independent restaurants.
In an advisory role, Yee will also advise other F&B operations within the company such
as Liquid Valley and Liquid Village.
Yee has also worked at the St. Regis Langkawi, The Datai Resort Langkawi, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa to name a few.
He also holds the prestigious La License I.U.P (French Equivalent of Bachelor’s Degree) in Hospitality and Tourism Management, accredited by Université de Toulouse, France.
One of his first assignments was the hosting of the wine dinner for Misha’s Vineyard selection in the company of its founders Andy and Misha Wilkinson recently.
