MATTA Fair Penang 2026 is all set and ready to roll !
Being held at a new venue this time around at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC), the MATTA Fair Penang 2026 is poised to reach new heights with organisers targeting an impressive turnover of RM30 million.
As final preparations gather pace, excitement is building for one of the region’s most anticipated travel events. The showcase will be held this Saturday (April 25) and Sunday (April 26).
Present at a press conference earlier today to share details of the showcase was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai along with MATTA Penang chairperson, Carolyn Leong.
“MATTA Fair Penang 2026 is set to be one of the largest editions to date, with over 320 booths and a wide range of offerings covering both domestic and international destinations. Visitors can expect attractive travel packages, exclusive fair promotions and strong participation from key industry players.
“More importantly, this fair plays a crucial role in stimulating travel demand, encouraging Malaysians to travel, explore, and reconnect with destinations both locally and abroad.
“This year also marks an important milestone as the fair moves to the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre,” said Wong in his speech.

He also called on those planning their next holiday, a family getaway or simply looking for travel inspiration, MATTA Fair Penang 2026 is the place to be this weekend.
Meanwhile, Leong said that they expect some 50,000 visitors to the fair this year.
“For a minimum spend of RM100, visitors will be eligible for the grand lucky draw offering attractive tickets to Paris, Brisbane, Narita, Chengdu, Incheon,Maldives, Taiper and other exotic places. We have also arranged comfortable dining places offering a variety of local food for visitors to unwind with friends and family,” she added.
Visitors can look forward to exploring approximately 320 booths, featuring a diverse range of exhibitors showcasing both local and international travel destinations, exclusive packages and the latest tourism offerings.
The move to PWCC marks a significant step forward for the fair, providing a modern and spacious setting designed to enhance the overall visitor experience.
With improved accessibility and expanded exhibition space, the new venue is expected to attract even more travel enthusiasts, industry players and families eager to plan their next getaway.
Leong also expressed confidence that the new location and strong industry participation will contribute to a successful event, further boosting Penang’s position as a key hub for tourism and travel in the region.
Holiday makers from the Northern Region, namely Perak, Kedah and Perlis can take advantage of the deals on offer.
