The AKASHA Learning Community of Malaysia is set to host the Second Learning Community International Life-Work Conference from May 29 to June 2, 2025, at the Espira Kinrara Resort Hotel in Puchong, Selangor.

With the theme “Remaking My Life: Together, We Move Forward,” the five-day, four-night event seeks to deepen global understanding of life growth and community building, while positioning Malaysia as a regional leader in learning nation development across Southeast Asia.

Ms. Fam Siew Khieng, President of the AKASHA Learning Community of Malaysia, shared that the conference will focus on three core pillars: Accompany, Reconciliation, and Trust.

“Healthy relationships are built on support and collaboration, not selfishness and competition. This is the essence of companionship,” she explained. “Reconciliation means healing past traumas and understanding rather than merely solving life’s problems. And trust is having faith that everything in life happens for a reason.”

Fam emphasized the significance of the event in fostering international dialogue around moral and spiritual renewal. The conference aims to build globally-minded learning communities that can work together across borders in mutual support and development.

The first edition of the conference saw participants from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and South Africa. For 2025, the organizing committee reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity, welcoming participants regardless of language, nationality, race, socioeconomic status, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. The main languages of the conference will be Mandarin and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided.

Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Ms. Karen Hoo highlighted that AKASHA has spent the past 20 years cultivating the spirit of moral re-armament and building learning communities throughout Malaysia. The initiative has since expanded to Bandung and Jakarta (Indonesia), Songjiang District (Shanghai, China), and is further supported by the Family EQ Development Association in Tainan, Taiwan.

“These collaborations form the foundation for the international life-work conference, which will now be held on a biennial basis,” said Hoo.
