Dubbed to be the biggest travel mart in the Northern Region, The Malaysia International Travel Mart (MITM) 2022 is back from July 2 to 3, 2022 at the SPICE Convention Centre.
After a hiatus due to the pandemic, holiday makers can now plan their trip to their destination of their choice at the travel mart.
Malaysia Airline System (MAS) is the official airline for the mart. Also lending support are China Southern Airlines, AirAsia, Firefly, Batik Airlines, Starlux and China Airlines.
According to the organising chairman of the event, Andy Chuah, some 150 booths will be available for those planning their get-away trips.
Among the international destinations and packages include Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia and many more.
Meanwhile, State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Yeoh Soon Hin said that the mart will also cater for holiday makers from neighbouring states like Perak, Kedah and Perlis.
“Now is the time to recover to pre-pandemic levels keeping in mind the safety of family and friends.
“I would also like to commend the organisers for bringing back the travel mart to benefit the general public, With teamwork and support from all parties concerned, we will surely get the desired results” added Yeoh.
Also present was the chairman of Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (Penang Chapter) chairman Edwin Tan and Penang Director for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Jonathan Freddy Bagang, Penang Global Tourism (PGT) Chief Executive Officer , Ooi Chok Yan among others.
