The Malaysian Food & Beverage Executives Association (MFBEA) is hosting its annual showcase at the SPICE Arena Penang from June 27 to 29, 2024.
This is the 19th edition of the event.
Participants from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Korea, India, The Philippines, Pakistan, China and Australia are expected to attend the gathering.
“The platform offers an excellent opportunity for participants to exchange views and share insights on the industry”, said FC Chong who is the president of the MFBEA Penang.
Among the highlights of the gathering are a wide range of competitions, including Fruit Flambé Tableside Service, Art of Table Setting & Napkin Folding, Mocktail & Cocktail classes for juniors and seniors, Penang Barista Championship and Latte Art Competition.
Then there is the Educational Seminar on June 28th, featuring presentations from industry experts.
Highlights include a welcome speech by MFBEA Penang president, FC Chong, a Coffee Profession Career Talk by David Leong and insights on plant-based trends in hospitality by Ms Anna Lee.
The event will culminate in an Industry Professionals Educational Panel discussion on “Securing the Future Success of Hospitality”, moderated by Jeremy Clark.
Other panellists include Dato Khoo Boo Lim (vice president of Malaysian Association of Hotels) , Ben Ho (MAH Penang vice chairman), Andre Gentzsch, Bruno Guillon, Anna Lee, Paul Choong, Camille Thiry and Charlise Chen.
The day will conclude with a networking party for attendees. F&B related stakeholders are welcome to attend and participate in the activities and also share their talents and expertise.
