Boeing thanked Malaysia Airlines for expanding its fleet with 30 737 MAX airplanes.

This following Malaysia Airlines order comprises 18 Boeing 737-8 and 12 Boeing 737-10 planes.

Built with advanced components from Boeing Composites Malaysia, these new 737s will bring greater efficiency, lower emissions, and stronger connectivity for the airline across its Southeast Asia network.

The 737 has served as the backbone of Malaysia Airlines’ single-aisle fleet for nearly 60 years and we are honored to continue that legacy with its latest order for the 737 MAX.

Malaysia Airlines operates a fleet of 113 aircraft including 42 Boeing 737-800s under Malaysia Airlines and five under Firefly.

The delivery of the new planes will be by 2029. Present at the ceremony was Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
