In the recent elections at the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Sarawak Chapter, the general manager of Meritz Hotel Miri, John Teo was elected as the chairman of the body for 2022-2025.
He will be assisted by Solo Anak Cleophas (Seri Simanggang Sri Aman) and Rahim Hamid Bugo (Damai Rainforest Resort) as vice chairman.
The Honorary secretary is Olivia Ting of The Meritin Hotel and the Hon. Treasurer is Awang Kedri Awang Bujang of Dormani Hotel Kuching.
Committee members are Lindy Ling (New World Suites Bintulu), Audry Wan Ullok (Telang Usan Hotel Kuching), Yvonne Saman (The Marian Boutique Lodging Hotel), ang Jai Lee (Tanahmas Hotel) and Patrick Kuek of Imperial Riverbank Hotel Kuching.
The internal auditor is Julie Tay from The Limetree Hotel.
Due to the distance involved in the state many of the members voted online.
