At first glance, it may look like a tarantula or a giant metal spider.
But in fact, it’s a speaker cable booster—cleverly designed to resemble a tarantula.
This eye-catching creation was showcased at the Northern International Audio & Visual Show 2025, which concluded yesterday.
Designed for both home and commercial use—such as karaoke systems or car audio setups—the booster stands out not only for its appearance but also for its performance.
Even more interestingly, this innovative audio accessory is made right here at home, in Simpang Ampat on Penang’s mainland.
It’s the work of Lydeg Sdn Bhd, a company specializing in RCA cable connectors and tweeter casings. Established in 2023, Lydeg already exports its products globally.
According to sales manager Hans Ng, the striking design was intentional. “We wanted something that would make a strong visual impact on potential clients,” he said.
Lydeg also offers a wide range of audiovisual accessories for both home and commercial applications.
