Ribbon cutting ceremony

Korean electronics product brand, LG Electronics, expanded its retail presence in Penang with the opening of its first Shop-in-Shop store with Ban Hin Bee Sdn Bhd (BHB) along Anson Road.

The opening also marks the 43rd store in Malaysia and to-date, they have six Shop-in-Shop stores in Penang.

Present at the launching ceremony was LG Electronics Malaysia managing director, Justin Choi along with Komtar state assemblyman Teh Lai Heng and Kebun Bunga assemblyman Jason Ong.

“We are thrilled to partner Ban Hin Bee to bring LG Shop In Shop to Penang. It marks a milestone for LG Electronics Malaysia.

“The new store will offer us to provide our customers with a more immersive shopping experience when buying for their homes.

“We look forward to welcoming Penangites to our new store and introducing them to LG’s latest technology to complement the customer’s homes and lifestyle,” said Choi.

Among the popular LG products are OLEG TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, water purifiers and other products.

Also present was the managing director of BHB, Jimmy Yeoh and general manager of BHB, Wilson Yeoh

In conjunction with the launch, BHB will also offer discounts and rewards to customers. Lending support for the launch were LG Electronics teams from Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

LG Electronics is the second largest electronic maker after Samsung Electronics in South Korea.
