Warm smiles of little children made the hearts of the management team of the Lexis Suites Penang along with the members of Pertubuhan Wanita Mutiara Pulau Pinang and Rose Charities Malaysia glow with joy recently.
The occasion was the corporate social responsibility programme (CSR) where some 66 less fortunate and underprivileged children from Crystal Family Home, Pusat Permulihan Komuniti Permatang Damar Laut, Penang Deaf Association, Malaysia Buddhist Association Kindergarten and Woman Centre For Change Penang to a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Prior to the event proper, the children were hosted to fun and games on the beachfront of the hotel.
Joining the fun was the president of Wanita Mutiara Pulau Pinang, Tan Lean Kee, Dato’ Lawrence Cheah, President of Rose Charities Malaysia, Ben Ho, General Manager of Lexis Suites Penang and guests.
Later, the kids enjoyed a hi-tea session at the Sky Terrace on Level 24.
Among the buffet spread included smoked chicken, honey bbq chicken, nuggets, fries, macaroni and many more.
The surprise appearances of Santa Claus and Santa Rina’s handling out gingerbread, snowman, candy cane cookies and assorted sweets made the children happy.
The kids later joined the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the lobby area.
The atmosphere was lighted up with Christmas carols like Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
