The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is having its roadshow at the Gurney Plaza which saw the attendance of many locals and holiday makers.
The fair offered guests a chance to learn more about the various holiday destinations in Korea, their culture, food, lifestyle of the country and not forgetting the K-Pop merchandise too.
Participants had a chance to sample food and also take photographs in authentic Korean attire and costumes which saw a fair number of people taking the queue.
Other highlights included the mascot appearance, Hanbok experience, K-Pop Toploader decoration, Tuho, beads decoration and free Jochiwon preach tea for all.
Present was Caryn Liew, the marketing manager for Malaysia and Brunei for KTO along with her assistant Nicole Yew.
“In conjunction with Visit Korea Year, we have had several roadshows in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and now here in Penang.
“We have received good response from the public as Morea is among the top holiday destinations for Malaysians. Among the popular destinations in Korea are Seoul, Busan and Jeju.
“Tourists also like to go see the cherry blossoms in Korea which offer a picturesque setting. People like to go to Korea for their street food, shopping, winter experience, skiing in winter, cosmetics, beauty and skin products too'< added Yew to Penang Hyperlocal.
