Experienced hotelier, John Kim is the newly appointed Director of Operations at Hotel Neo + Penang with effect June 3, 2025.
He comes with more than 15 years of service in the hospitality industry
He had served in several hotels in Ipoh and Penang. His last post was being the Hotel Manager at the Mei Hotel here.
He holds a BA (Hons) in Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality from the Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom. He is also the holder of the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).
In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of operational matters at the Hotel NEO+ Penang.
Kim also holds the post of Hon Secretary of the Malaysian Association of Hotels Penang Chapter.
He will report to Cluster General Manager Dato Gulab Mahatam Rai on all matters relating to the hotel.
Gulab is also a well experienced hotelier who had served in Sri Lanka, Tioman, with the Berjaya Group and other resorts too.
