In up-keeping a healthy community spirit, the Jazz Hotel Penang here hosted some 130 school children from its neighbourhood and surrounding areas to a break-of-fast session.

On hand to welcome his guests was the hotel’s general manager Jordon Lim and his team members.Guest-of-honour at the meaningful gathering was the State Exco for Infrastructure, Transport and Digital, YB Zairil Khir Johari. 

The school children were from SK Tg Tokong RMT, Tahfiz Tg Bungah, Masjid Karwa, Masjid Tuan Guru and Masjid Terapung Tg  Bunga. They were accompanied by their teachers and caretakers.

“This is our way to give back to the community and the people who live in this area.  

He also added that previously, they had also offered their hotel swimming pool as a practical training venue for the school’s Water Safety Awareness Course and in return, the school had kindly allowed their hotel’s football team to use their school field for training purposes.

“This is the strong bond we share, and I sincerely hope it continues to flourish, benefiting the community, especially the residents in the surrounding area,” added Lim.

Meanwhile, Zairil thanked the Jazz Hotel for the kind invitation and for hosting the children to the break of fast session in theTanjung Bungah area.

“On my part I have also supported the various schools with their uniforms and also Hari Raya contributions for the poor and needy in the constituency 

“For your further information, we are also building a new mosque with a diamond shape sponsored by Habib Jewels which is nearing completion soon. We are confident it will become a tourist attraction in this area. Another new development will be the new highway over the sea soon which will also be a “first” too. .

Zairil and Lim later presented goody bags and duit raya for the kids so that they will have a memorable Hari Raya celebration.
