Hotel Sentral Seaview played host to the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Penang Chapter’s monthly meeting, bringing together key players from the island’s hospitality industry.
Held in Tanjong Tokong, the gathering welcomed around 40 general managers and hotel representatives, who came together to discuss key developments and initiatives shaping Penang’s tourism and hotel landscape.
The meeting was chaired by MAH Penang Chapter Chairman, Dato Tony Goh, with discussions centering on collaborative support for state-led initiatives such as the Green Hotel programme and MBPP’s Clean City campaign, among other important matters.


Following the meeting, attendees were treated to a sumptuous buffet curated by Hotel Sentral Seaview’s Food & Beverage team, featuring a delightful mix of local and international favorites.
Notable attendees included Dato Khoo Boo Lim (VP MAH National), John Kim (Secretary), Dennis Lee (Treasurer), Steven Suffian (Hompton Hotel), Alex Gooi (Hotel Sentral), Amran Taib (Berjaya Hotel Penang), Melvin Ooi (Prestige Hotel), Tan Hock Khiam (Aroma Hotel), Lynne Choong (Bayview Hotel Georgetown) and Davidde Ong (Angsana Teluk Bahang Resort).

Also present were Adrian Chua (Penang Marriott Hotel), Jack Leecooper, Michael Smeeton (Hard Rock Hotel Penang), Nick Ng (Holiday Inn), M. Nagaswaran (Sunway Hotel Georgetown), James Chang, Winnie Yap (Eastin Hotel Penang), Catherine Townshend (The Millen), Jordan Lim (Jazz Hotel), and Adrian Preveen (Arrowood International), among others.
As Penang continues to welcome several new international hotel brands in the near future, the island’s hospitality scene is poised for an exciting and dynamic future.
