Hardworking staff from the Penang Island City Council were recognized for their dedication and sacrifice recently.
The ceremony was held at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre.
Present was State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning YB Jagdeep Singh Deo and his team.
Also present was Penang Island Mayor Dato Yew Tung Seang, Council secretary Dato A. Rajendran, councillors and other heads of departments.

“I am honoured to be here today at the MBPP Retiree Appreciation Ceremony and Outstanding Service Award 2022 to give our highest recognition to them.
“Congratulations to the team for maintaining their 5-star rating amongst all Local Authorities, and assisting us to maintain order during the recent pandemic and in all other programmes.
“Our Green and Smart initiatives such as the Penang Smart Parking system, the installation of Solar Panels at our agencies and the planting of more trees are in full gear,” added Jagdeep.
