Popular local mall, the Gurney Plaza held its grand Chinese New Year launch to usher in the Year of the Rabbit in a colorful ceremony yesterday.
Joining the event was Ms Selina Ng, (Head, Retail) of CapitaLand, Peter Chan (General Manager, Mall Management) along with the state assemblyman for Pulau Tikus. Chris Lee.
Lending support were media members from local print and electronic media.
Their theme for this year is “A Prosperous Voyage” as we enter the New Year. Shoppers can take in the wonderful CNY decorations which consist of a 38ft tall Ming inspired Treasure fleet at the main atrium.
They have also put in place an old Chinese pier surrounded by 18 rabbits and windmills which will serve for photo opportunities.
As of Jan 7 till Jan 29, 2023, the mall will bring an array of performances and activities like the Single Lion Dance on High Poles, Double Lion Dance, Community Paper Block Printing, Chinese New Year Pastry Festival, Chinese Orchestra performance among others.
Guests can also redeem the auspicious Red Packets with a minimum spend.
