Premium French wine-maker, Mahler-Besse showcased their outstanding wine selection @ The Gustoso at the Parkroyal Penang Resort recently.

A range of white and red wine selections were on offer for guests. 

On hand to introduce the selections was Mahler-Besse’s general manager Nicolai Hedegaard from Bordeaux, France. 

The session saw some 30 guests treated to the Cheval Noir Bordeaux Blanc 2021 accompanied with gratinated oysters cooked with herbs butter as guests mingled at the lobby area.

They then adjourned to the Gustoso dining area for their meals and welcomed with an entree of prawns with avocado puree while Nicolai explained the finer points of their wine range.

The fine food continued with the soup of the day, the Wild Mushroom soup with truffle oil served with Chateau Picard St Estephe Cru Bourgeois 2018. 

As for the main course, the choices were the Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb, Filet Mignon or the Smoked Duck accompanied by Domaine Cartujac Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois 2016 and Château Feytit-Lagrave Pomerol 2017. 

The great evening was brought together by Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits led by William Chong, Regional director, Northern Region and his team.

A similar Mahler-Besse Wine dinner session was also held in Ipoh @ The Jeff cellar, Banjaran by Sunway ipoh where some 40 guests had gathered.
