She might be thousands of miles away (9,869km to be exact) in her home in Wijk aan Zee near Amsterdam, Holland but Jeeny de Kuijper does not forget to carry out her charitable projects in Penang.
This time around, her friends and relatives here provided much needed food packets to the needy community at the Goddess of Mercy Temple along Pitt Street.
The team later proceeded to the Salvation Army Home at Logan Road to provide lunch for the boys there.
The project was in memory of her late brother Richard alias Ritchie, 34 who passed away last December.
Some 150 food parcels were given out at the temple premises.
Jeeny is not new to provide assistance to those in need. Previously, she and her team have assisted the under-privileged in around the Hong Seng area, Tanjong Tokong, Tanjong Bungah and Batu Feringgi.
Since she was an ex-staff of the Mutiara Resort in Teluk Bahang, she also helped her former colleagues who were affected during the lockdown.
She had also sent out aid to the Butterworth SPCA, 4Paws and the Cat Beach offering rice and pet food. Other items included detergents and hygiene products.
Doing good deeds is nothing new to her, way back in 2017, there were bad floods in Tanjung Bungah and Batu Ferringhi areas. She again rose to the occasion to provide food and water for those affected.
In all, some 700 people benefitted from her assistance with food and other necessities during that project.
