The five-star Amari Johor Bahru is popular for its Sunday breakfast buffet which also comes with lively entertainment by Keyin Tay, Malaysia’s first freestyle female saxophonist and the talented local vocalist, Melissa Yap.
The hotel sets a new standard as the first hotel to offer live music during their Sunday breakfast buffet, adding an elegant touch of entertainment for guests, who get to indulge in a delightful breakfast experience accompanied by the upbeat saxophone tunes performed by Tay and the soulful songs of Yap.
Tay also had the honour of meeting the Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Iskandar Al-Mutawakkil Alallahi Shah Afifullah who presented her with a saxophone.
Among the celebrities she had shared the stage with are Dato Siti Nurhaliza, Sherry Alhaded, Joe Flizzow, Yazmin Aziz Big Stage, Sazzy Falak, Hazama, rapper Altimet, Janna Nick among others.
The equally talented Yap, was part of the Top 30 of the prestigious Malaysian Idol reality show.
Meanwhile, the buffet breakfast served at the Amaya Food Gallery, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, offers a wide array of sumptuous dishes from both local and international cuisine.
Among the signature dishes include the Nasi Lemak Pandan Ayam Berempah, live station Chee Cheong Fun, and Johor Kacang Pool with Sous Vide Egg.
