The Penang State Government has lined up a long list of interesting activities to usher in the Year of the Dragon.
Present to announce and launch the festivities was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Wong Hon Wai along with Penang Global Tourism Chief Executive Officer, Ooi Chok Yan and his team.
Wong added that Penang is also known for producing Chinese New Year songs even more creative than those from Taiwan and China.
“A group of young and talented local artists have come up with this video and song presentation. We are proud of their achievement,” he added.
He also highlighted that on the first day of CNY (Feb 10), the inaugural flight of flydubai will connect to Penang International Airport.
Among the programmes include a combination of cultural, sporting and other interesting activities.
The list of activities started from Jan 29, 2024 with the Wooley car park in Butterworth putting up 10,000 lanterns.
