Exabytes Group, Southeast Asia’s leading All-in-one Business, Cloud, Digital and Ecommerce Solutions Provider, will hold a blood donation campaign in partnership with Penang General Hospital.
The blood donation drive will take place on Sept 18, 2023 at the conference hall, Suntech @ Penang Cybercity.
This joint effort is dedicated to meeting the urgent demand for blood donations, offering a lifeline to individuals facing acute medical crises and enduring long-term illnesses.
Through this initiative, both Exabytes Group and Penang General Hospital aim to collect 100 Blood Bags with the mission to save 100 lives, in just 6 hours.
As concerns grows over blood shortages in Malaysia’s blood banks, it is crucial to note that the blood donation rate in Malaysia experienced a decline from 22.8 donors per 1,000 people in 2019 to a range of 19.7 to 22.5 donors per 1,000 population in 2020, 2021, and 2022, primarily due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, as acknowledged by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
In response to this concerning trend, Exabytes Group remains resolute in its commitment to raising awareness on issues that require the public’s attention.
This event aims to support life saving efforts by encouraging blood donations, with the goal of ensuring a continuous and vital supply of blood for acute cases and individuals with pre-existing conditions.
Furthermore, Exabytes Group is dedicated to raising awareness about the alarming blood deficiency in our nation’s blood banks, underscoring the need for collective action to address this crisis.
