Well experienced Penang hotelier Ms Esther Ang has taken the next step in her hospitality career with her appointment as Director of Sales & Catering at the Ascott Gurney Penang.
With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ang brings to her new role extensive experience gained from serving with several established hotels and resorts in Penang.
At Ascott Gurney Penang, she will lead a 10-member sales and catering team, overseeing the property’s sales activities, events and room bookings.
Her new portfolio will see her focus on strengthening the property’s business development efforts while identifying new opportunities across the corporate, leisure and events segments.
For Ang, who has spent much of her professional career in Penang’s competitive hospitality scene, the move represents an opportunity to put her years of industry experience and relationships to work in a new setting.
Her immediate focus will be on driving sales growth, expanding the hotel’s client base and creating stronger engagement with corporate clients, event organisers, travel partners and the wider business community.
