Media members from Kuala Lumpur and Penang had an exclusive familiarization session on the latest developments on the mega Andaman Island project currently underway here.

The mega project is in various stages of completion offering a myriad of residential homes, apartments, commercial buildings, retail outlets and other lifestyle structures.

More importantly, the development is guided by green and long term sustainable practices.

They were briefed by none other than E&O Group managing director himself, Kok Tuck Cheong and his team. Also present was Yeonzon Yeow, senior general manager of Corporate Investment and Planning of E&O Berhad and Ramesh Gnanasegaran, general manager marketing & sales in Penang.

“E&O’s Andaman Island is strategically positioned to meet the demand of offering premium living spaces within a holistic urban environment that balances accessibility, sustainability and quality of life.

“It also serves as a cornerstone of E&O’s long-term growth strategy, representing our group’s commitment to international standards of eco-conscious developments. The Andaman Island masterplan is a blueprint for sustainable, community-driven living, advancing beyond traditional development models to reimagine island living”, he said to the media team present.

Earlier, the team was also taken on a tour of the island which is in various stages of completion, among them are the Meg and Arica projects which have already been sold out.

Meanwhile, The Lume which offers a collection of 261 exclusive residences situated on the island has sold some 42% since its launch in july this year.

Condominium units at the Lume are limited to just six units per floor thus ensuring exclusivity which is rarely found amidst the hustle of city life.

Their facilities range from from a state-of-the-art gym to a gleaming lap pool and a running path that inspires an active lifestyle.

Then there are specially curated social spaces that cultivate a sense of community, offering much needed spots to unwind and relax. Other facilities at the Lume include landscaped pools, lounges, barbecue spaces, playgrounds, a wading pool, co-working spaces, meeting rooms and function areas.

Meanwhile, the total 760 acre community on two islands will be connected by two bridges, namely from Gurney Drive roundabout and the Andaman Bridge from Straits Quay.

The project also features 15 sea facing properties with private marinas.

Kok also added that the Andaman Island also aims to elevate Penang’s role as an economic hub by creating new employment opportunities, attracting investment and contributing to local tourism, directly supporting Penang 2030 vision of a balanced, inclusive and sustainable economy.

“E&O has always aimed to create developments that elevate life at every address and Andaman Island is a true embodiment of this vision. We see it as both a tribute to Penang’s unique heritage and a forward-looking model of sustainable, sophisticated living”, added Kok.

It is expected that E&O will introduce two waterfront condominiums and a new phase of luxury landed project in 2025.

Media members were later treated to a viewing session of the Lume show units and a fine high-tea session before wrapping up the day.
