The announcement was made during a press conference hosted by YB. Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang, reaffirming the state’s continued commitment to strengthening its position as a regional hub for high-tech manufacturing, semiconductors, and advanced industries.
As Penang accelerates its transformation into a global electronics and semiconductor hub through initiatives such as Penang Silicon Design @5km+, EMAX 2026 comes at a pivotal time for the industry. The initiative focuses on building a comprehensive IC design ecosystem and advancing innovation across the value chain, reflecting the state’s move towards highervalue activities beyond manufacturing.
In an increasingly complex global environment marked by evolving supply chain dynamics and geopolitical uncertainties, Penang continues to demonstrate strong resilience and strategic stability. Its well-established infrastructure, robust industrial ecosystem, and reliable logistics network position the state as a preferred destination for electronics and semiconductor investments in Asia.
Scheduled to take place from 22 – 24 July 2026 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang, Malaysia, the five co-located exhibitions will bring together a dynamic convergence of global industry players to showcase the latest advancements shaping the future of electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, automation, and sustainable industrial solutions.
The introduction of CirTech 2026, focusing on circuit and PCB technologies, marks a significant expansion of the EMAX series, further strengthening its position as a comprehensive platform that addresses the evolving needs of the entire industrial value chain.
Each co-located exhibition plays a vital role within this integrated ecosystem:

In addition, the event hosted by AUTOMATiONSG will feature a dedicated Singapore Pavilion, bringing Singapore-based automation specialists to showcase solutions in robotics, machine vision, and smart factory systems. The pavilion provides Penang’s electronics manufacturers with direct access to advanced technologies that enhance precision, throughput, and overall production efficiency.
