More than 8,000 delegates from 40 countries are expected at this year’s Electronics Manufacturing Expo Asia (EMAX) to be held at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre from July 23 to 25, 2025.

The gathering is its 5th edition and also marks the gathering of the Penang Manufacturing Expo (PMAX) along with Semiconductor Expo Asia (SMAX) and Asia Sustainable Factories Expo (ASFAX).

Organised by NRG Exhibitions (M) Sdn Bhd, more than 200 leading exhibiting brands will be in attendance.

Present at the press conference to announce the exhibition was Penang Deputy Chief Minister 11 YB Jagdeep Singh Deo along with  Kenny Yong, CEO of NRG Exhibitions (M) Sdn Bhd and Philip.Vincent (Senior advisor for EMAX)

In his address, Jagdeep emphasized Penang’s strategic role in driving next-generation industries and sustainable transformation.

“This quartet of expos will bring together a powerful convergence of industries to showcase technologies shaping the future of manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors, and sustainability in Asia.

.”Penang’s transformation into a high-tech and green industrial hub is supported by events like this, which bring together global expertise and local strength to chart the future of our economy,” said Jagdeep.

Meanwhile, the launch of SMAX and ASFAX represents a strategic expansion of the EMAX series, offering a more complete platform for the evolving needs of the industrial value chain to showcase the entire semiconductor value chain, including chip design, fabrication, testing, packaging, and materials and the dedicated platform for sustainable manufacturing, covering renewable energy, smart factory innovations, energy efficiency, green building solutions, and ESG-driven technologies.

Participants to the fair can expect a vibrant showcase of solutions and breakthroughs, alongside live demonstrations and tech applications powered by artificial intelligence agents and large language models advancements. 

Delegates can look forward to expert-led keynote presentations and panel discussions, as well as business networking opportunities and industry matchmaking sessions.
