The durians served at Feringhi Durian Station are sourced from Song Hai Durian, located at Sungei Dua, Balik Pulau, a family-run orchard spanning 22 acres with around 800 durian trees.
More than half of the trees are over 50 years old, reflecting the orchard’s rich heritage and long-standing commitment to quality. The farm produces a distinguished mix of premium varieties, including Red Prawn, Horlor, Green Skin, Lipan, Musang King, Black Thorn, Tupai, Capri and other prized local selections.

Established in 1966, Song Hai Durian is now managed by Song Hai together with his four children, continuing a family tradition that has been passed down through generations. With over 30 unique homegrown varieties, the orchard is known for its commitment to quality, sustainability and ethical farming practices. It also offers vacuum-packed durian services for travel, as well as delivery throughout Malaysia.

In recognition of its excellence, Song Hai Durian received the Durian Champion award for Red Prawn in 2025, further underscoring its reputation for producing high-quality durians. The orchard also earned 1st Prize for Red Prawn / Undang Merah D175 at Pesta Durian Pulau Pinang 2025, awarded by the Penang State Government.
