The Eastin Hotel Penang has forged a collaboration with INTI International College Penang to churn out new talents for the hospitality industry.

They held a signing ceremony recently to formalize the understanding.

Representing the hotel was its manager, Ms Winnie Yip while INTI College was represented by  Ms Hemalatha Murugiah, Chief Executive and Jeff Lim, Head of School.

With the implementation of the MOU, the partnerships helps the parties to foster collaborative engagement mechanisms such as forums, workshops, mentorship and development programmes and facilitate collaboration between INTI and the industry partner in various areas, including internship, management trainee programme, guest speakers from the industry, employer project and learning from experts, industry boot camps (operations), corporate training,

It also includes Faculty Industry Attachment (FIA) Program, conducts Training Needs Analysis on annual basis, encourages employees of the Industry Partner to enroll in INTI’s Working Professionals Programmes and short courses.

“We are delighted to join forces with INTI International College Penang, offering students unparalleled opportunities for hands-on industry experience.

“This partnership reflects our dedication to cultivating the next generation of hospitality leaders,” added Yip.

As the hospitality industry as a whole is lacking talented individuals to fill up the various vacancies in the hotels and resorts, this initiative will surely help to overcome the situation.
