The DoubleTree Resort By Hilton Penang offers its Ramadan promotion with a combination of local kampung style dishes at its Makan Kitchen outlet.

The buffet dinner spread is part of the nationwide “Chup! Makan Dulu” Ramadan promotion by Hilton hotels in Malaysia. 

A classic Malaysian slang, “Chup” is synonymous to the word “pause” and is often used to interject someone in a playful and friendly manner. 

Through this campaign, the brand wishes to remind Malaysians to take a break from their hectic day-to-day and enjoy a quality Ramadan season with their loved ones over a hearty meal at Hilton.

With that, the team at DoubleTree Resort Penang’s Makan Kitchen aims to evoke a sense of warmth and kinship through its line-up of dishes traditionally enjoyed during homecomings. 

Guests are in for a treat with highlights including Chef Addy’s Asam Pedas Tetel and Daging Salai, Chef Shahrul’s Ayam Sambal Lemak Harissa and Penang Clay Pot Nasi Kandar, which will be served to the table in traditional dome sets.

The entire atmosphere at the outlet gets even more exciting on Fridays and Saturdays, as there’ll be live stalls dishing out Char Kuey Teow and Mee Bandung fresh off the wok. 

While the Panggang Corner will spoil guests with a myriad of BBQ choices including lamb chops, mussels and seabass fillet grilled in banana leaf.

The “Jom Berbuka” buffet dinner runs from 13 April – 12 May 2021, 6.00pm–10.30pm daily. It’s priced at RM88 nett on Sunday – Thursday and RM118 nett on Friday – Saturday.
