Get ready for a feast of bold, aromatic flavours as Courtyard by Marriott Penang proudly launches its Authentic Thai & Local Flavour Buffet Dinner, a unique culinary collaboration with The Thai • เดอะไทย Café and Restaurant.
Held at Penang Kitchen, this limited-time buffet brings together the best of Thai and Penang cuisine in an unforgettable dining experience. The spotlight shines on Guest Chef Pattrawadee Chawsuan Grace from Chonburi, Thailand – owner of The Thai Penang – as she teams up with Chef Ahmad Zaim, Executive Chef of Courtyard by Marriott Penang, to craft a vibrant, flavour-packed menu.
“Authentic Thai cuisine is all about harmony – balancing sweet, sour, salty, and spicy elements,” shares Chef Grace. “I’m honoured to share the taste of Chonburi with Penang.”
Meanwhile, Chef Zaim said “This collaboration blends the rich traditions of Thai cooking with local flair to create something truly memorable. The buffet highlights include a carefully curated selection of Thai favourites and local delights, including: Green Curry Chicken with Winter Melon, Red Curry Roasted Duck, Minced Meat Kapraw (Basil Stir-Fry), Pineapple Fried Rice, Live Som Tam (Papaya Salad) Counter, Petite Slipper Lobster with Sous Vide Egg on Skin, Miang Kam Bites, The Thai Pomelo Salad in Pai Tee Cups, Mango & Jackfruit Sticky Rice, Red Ruby Dessert with Jackfruit in Coconut Milk and other favourites. While there, do check out the BBQ section for juicy meat cuts and seafood too.
Also present at the recent launch ceremony was HE Mr Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in Penang who was welcomed by Courtyard By Marriott Penang’s general manager Ms Yvonne Wan and her team members.
The buffet is available at the hotel’s Penang Kitchen, Courtyard by Marriott Penang every Every Saturday till November 29, 2025 from 6.30pm to 10pm. It is priced at RM168 nett (Adults) | RM99 nett (Children & Seniors). The buffet also includes a complimentary fresh coconut per guest.
